Former Penguins Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury Retires at 40 with a Remarkable NHL Legacy
Marc-Andre Fleury, the former Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender, retired at the age of 40 after the Vegas Golden Knights eliminated the Minnesota Wild in Game 6. Fleury began his career after being chosen as the first pick in the 2003 NHL Draft. His career includes several Stanley Cup rings, a Vezina Trophy and stints in several cities. He is known for his personality, spectacular saves and his ability to attract a city to the game of hockey. His career stats include 886 starts, 571 wins and he is expected to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Fleury is also remembered for his off-the-ice antics and pranks and for being the second-winningest goaltender in NHL history.
